So Valentine's has become a family affair in our home. We gave the kids pillow pets, which they were so excited about! I made Steak, Crab Legs and Grilled shrimp, with twice baked potatoes and grilled asparagus. Then we had a dance in the family room teaching the kids all our best dance moves. I tried to teach them the shag, which I learned growing up in S.C. The kids had a blast. Then we topped it off with fondu and sparkling cider. I have to say it turned out to be really FUN and there was plenty of Love to go around!

Junior Jazz B-Balll Baby!

Another season of Junior Jazz has begun. Chris is coaching these cute Traverse Mountain boys again. They are such a fun team to watch. This year it seems that the kidos are really beginning to figure the game out. Here's to a winning season! ;)

One of the things you gotta love about Traverse Mountain/Eagle Summit is our Annual Bowling night. Chris and I are still trying to get the trophy, although we haven't taken it yet, maybe next year! We are on our way, last year I won worst bowler :( What a fun night. Thanks to miss Katie Erwin for all the planning of it.

The Real Santa! .... AND Reindeer... "COOL"

We take the kids every year to see the Cabella's Santa. We think he is the "Real Deal". The kids love him and he is so sweet to them. It is great too, because they take picture with him for free. We like to tell the kids he drops the reindeer off at Thanksgiving point (which they do have live reindeer there) and then comes here to see them. They look forward to this weekend all of Christmas. We hope this will be a fun and memorable tradition for them.

Here are the kids with cousin McKay at Thanksgiving Point meeting Santa's reindeer and watching a "COOL" ice sculpturing. Aren't the holidays great? We are so lucky to have this right here and so close. I am so grateful my children have cousins and grandparents living so close. We like to take every opportunity we can to see them, and make these memories more special.

It is Back to School

WOW! it is already time to go back to school. We had a good summer, but it has come to an end. Check out these two cuties. Camden just turned 7 and is ready for 1st grade. His teacher this year will be Mrs.Cavin. Kiara starts 3rd grade and her teacher will be Mrs.Mangum, she will be turning 9 in about 10 days. The kids will be starting at a new school. It was recently built here in Traverse Mountain, so they can walk or ride their bikes. The kids are very excited. On the first day I walked them half way to the little trail that leaves our neighborhood and goes to the school across the street. I cannot believe we are gearing up for another year of school. They are growing so fast!

Camden is Seven!

So for Camden's 7th Birthday, he asked to go bowling. We took him and his friends to the Lehi - Jack and Jill bowling alley. The boys got to bowl, eat pizza have cake and ice cream and do a game of Laser Tag. Camden loved it! The boys really had a good time and were just a little competitive. I am sure as the years go on this will only get worse! But what a fun day! Happy Birthday my "Buddy Guy" we love you so much!

The Birthday Boy! I can't believe he is 7. Where has all the time gone? Next thing I know I will be sending him off on a mission.

Thank You Grandma Burnham!!! She is always there to give me an extra hand. You would think with all the boys I would have needed it, but they were so good we (my Mom and I) just got some sodas and watched the cute kids bowl and have fun. I have to say this was a very smooth and fun party!!!

Girl's Trip

8 1/2 months pregnant -- I need to get one last Girls Trip in before this baby comes. So we took off to Vegas. The girls that came were Natalie (4 months prego), Katie (7 months prego), Errin (6 wks prego) and Heidi (without child) So as you can imagine there was a lot of sleeping in, and eating. Heidi was such a trooper to go with all of us prego women. We had alot of fun, we really did just relax, shop and eat. The trip was short but just what we all needed.

Basketball Season has Begun

This is the second year Camden has played Junior Jazz Basketball. Chris coaches and he plays with all his friends up at Traverse Mountain. They are so fun to watch. Camden made me laugh this year - after the first game he didn't make a basket so the next game he told me "I need to play without a shirt under my jersey b/c that's the only way I can make a basket, That's how the Jazz do it". I had to laugh a little. He was very intense and all about the defense this year.

We took the kids to a BYU game. Although, I think they had more fun getting ready to go, than actually being there. (hair painting, pom-poms, mini basketballs, candy, and food) It was a fun family day!

First Time Skiing

I finally was able to talk Chris into taking the kids skiing. They loved it! Kiara was amazing and just took off. Camden was a little more timid, but after a few runs and lot's of encouragement, he was cruising around. Alexa and I just hung out eating treats and hot cocoa, she just loved being there and doing snow angels. What a fun family experience, I am sure there will be plenty more ski days to come.

The Grey Tigers

Camden loves ALL sports, and always has. He gets very competitive and aggresive. He is fun to watch and to cheer for. When he scores, he will always look at me and give me a thumbs up, or say "Did you see that" (in his cute little voice - for those of you that know Cam :)). What a Happy, Loving little boy!

Technically the team does not keep score, But Camden does and he will always tell you the score If they won and how many goals he made. This is very serious stuff :)! I laugh when I think about this. I am so proud of him and his dedication. One day he will make a wonderful athlete!

My First Slumber Party

So Kiara wanted to have a Slumber Party for her Birthday, it is all she could talk about for several months prior to. We invited her friends and they made sleep masks, Painted Fingers and Toes, Listened to music and Danced. We finally started a movie around 11 p.m. There were a few that fell asleep during the movie and then there were a few who hung on until around 1 a.m. - Including Kiara. It was a really fun Girls Night, and I am sure the start to many more.

Kiara turned Eight this year. WoW! is about all I can say. She is such an amazing girl. She just bounces with personality (literally). She is a goer and a doer, I can't imagine where that comes from, Hmmmm. She loves to play with friends, listen and sing to music and she loves being active. She is so helpful and responsible. I know Camden and Alexa loves her so much and look up to her. She is very sweet and tendered hearted. I can't wait to see what will come next and all in the same breathe can't make time slow down enough either. Happy Birthday to my Baby Girl ----- Which you will ALWAYS be!

Back to School

So school is back in. This year Camden starts Kindergarten, He is really excited! Kiara is now in second grade. So it just me and Alexa at home, this should be a nice change. Camden and Kiara go to Ridgeline Elementary, we love it there. Camden's teacher is Mrs. Correa and Kiara's is Mrs. Nuckles. Kiara started back last week, they have a week in between 1st-6th before the Kindergartners go. I was a little sad to see Cam off but he comes home at 12:30 so he won't be away to long. I just can't believe they are growing up so fast. So here we go with another year hopefully it will be GREAT!

Summer is coming to an end....

So summer is now coming to an end. With Kiara in school and only a few hot days left, me and the neighborhood girls packed up the kids and headed to a splash park. We had a really fun time and I enjoyed trying to soak in the last of the summer rays. I am always sad when summer is over. Maybe we will have a long warm and nice fall, cause I am sure not ready for snow!!

We went to Moroni, UT Chris' home town for The Easter Festivities. The kids always have alot of fun doing the hunt and playing with their cousins.

Birthday Dinner with the Girls

For my 32nd birthday I went to dinner with the girls. The boys had priesthood session, so we met up for cake and ice cream at home. What a fun night. We went to Braza Grill Yumm! Me and Kiara had big yummy drinks and shared my birthday dessert. I think she loved being out with "THE GIRLS".

Soccer Days

Kiara had a fun team this year. She started out a little shy and then after her first goal she really took off. She loved being able to play on the same team as her cousin Elle, and with her Aunt Heidi Assistant coaching. She really made some great improvement this year. Way to go Kiara!

Soaking up the rays in St. George

We headed down to St.George to get out of the cold, and let's face it Chris had to get some golf in. Chris and his Dad played in a tournament while we hung by the pool. We stayed at Intrada, the infamous filming site of High School Musical 2. Kiara was in heaven she was so excited to go and see all the filming sites, especially swim in the pool where Sharpay and Troy were! Too funny -- she talked about it for weeks and even wrote about it for an assignment at school. The teacher had given the kids an assignment to write about three wishes, hers was that it would be friday so we could be in St. George where they filmed high school musical. I had to laugh a little when I read it. She didn't even have two other wishes written down :) Anyways we definitely enjoyed the weather and sites. The resort was beautiful, our room sat right on the 9th hole of the golf course and the views were breathtaking, I wish I had more photos to show.

The last day the wind kicked up pretty bad but the kids wanted to go on a hike so we braved the winds.

This photo of Alexa is funny b/c once we got up on top of the rocks, the wind was very strong and kinda scary for the kids. She wasn't having it. So for those of you who know my little Alexa and her love and I mean LOVE for food, she started to tell me about all the food she was going to eat once we got down off the rocks. I had to laugh cause here's this cute little two year old getting blown to death and she looks at me and says " I want a cheeseburger and fries and pancakes and juice....." all in her little cute voice. i just looked at her and said you want to go? and eat? with a relieved look that we were going to get out of the cold scary wind and eat she said YES!!! What a cutie and a trooper!

We had a fun day with lot's of Green! To start the leprechauns came and made a mess of the house with streamers and confetti. They went through all of our change to find some Gold, which Kiara is convinced they have some of her jewelry. We had Green french toast with green syrup and green milk. Yumm! For dinner I made traditional corned-beef and cabbage with lot's of green sides dishes - salad, jello, broccoli, and cool-aid. Surprisingly it was pretty good. My parents came for dinner and my Dad loved the meal, Thanks Dad! - Chris says not a favorite, sorry Babe, but where's the spirit?
The kids loved the day and had fun collecting all the money around their rooms and house.
I love holidays and think it is tons of fun to celebrate them and see the kids reactions, and maybe it makes me feel young again?

Draper Temple Open House

We had the opportunity to attend the Draper Temple Open House with the kids. It was a real fun and neat experience. I don't know if Camden and Alexa will remember it as they get older, but Kiara just loved it and I hope she will be able to recall the memories. She soaked in everything and had so many questions. I am so glad we were able to take the kids and enjoy the evening together. Luckily it wasn't very crowded and we were able to take our time and talk about the rooms and feel the spirit. My favorite part was sitting on a little couch in the celestial room with my family and being able to teach them about temples. It was amazing and sweet.

For Valentines this year I made my family these cookie bouquets. I thought they were pretty darn cute if I do say so myself. I got the idea from my friend who had a cookie decorating night the week of Valentines. She had all this fun stuff to decorate and cute ideas. First Hair Cut

Picking Pumpkins

This is our third year going to HeeHaws to pick pumpkins for Halloween. It is such a cute place and the kids love it. They have hay rides, animals, a huge slide, corn mazes, and a pumpkin patch. We always make a family night of it. I hope it will be a fun memory for the kids one day.

As you can see I started to loose light so I wasn't able to get any pictures in the patch. It did make it interesting picking a pumpkin in the dark with a flashlight, but hey I think they did a pretty good job.

Aren't they so cute? These two have been best buds since the day they were born. Alexa will wake up and say Tenley Today? She is like another sister to Alexa. We are so glad to have the Hill's as our neighbors and wonderful friends! What my life would be like with out them, I don't know. But these two are always fun to be around and seem to get along great. We couldn't pass up the matching outfits which they seem to have a few of. It is fun b/c they are so close and not to mention ADORABLE.

Christopher's sister got married September 13th the wedding was so beautiful and amazing. Going to the temple was such a neat experience and brought back so many fun memories of my own wedding. Another Year of Preschool

Camden will be attending yet another year of preschool which will make this his third year. He should be entering Kindergarten, but Chris and I have decided to hold him back a year. He will be going to Learning Dynamic with his newly moved to Utah cousin Rowan. We are so excited Wendy and Ben are here. Even better we were able to get Rowan in the same class as Camden. They are so excited.

The First Day of School

So It is Kiara's first day of 1st grade. This seems like a bigger deal to me b/c Kindergarten was only half day. We went shopping the weekend before school started and got her this adorable outfit. We both just loved it and had so much fun shopping together. Monday morning 10 minutes before we had to be to the bus she couldn't find her cute new shoes, we did a mad search and only came up with one, needless to say she went to school with old worn out shoes -- no biggie.
So I was doing great until I watched the bus pull away and then I became extremely emotional, I was sad for a good 3-4 hours just thinking about her getting older and being at school all day was alot for me to take in. I have one thing to say ---My Baby is growing up...
I don't know if I can handle this. She will always be my baby girl. Kiara, I love you so much. I hope to treasure all the time I can and take in as much of your growing up as I can. Stay my little sweetie forever... lot's of love, Mom

Kiara had an appointment with the dentist on Tuesday to get her tooth pulled b/c her adult tooth was growing in behind and not pushing her baby tooth out. I told her if she could get it out before the appointment we wouldn't have to go. She worked on that tooth all day everyday. The Sunday night before the dentist she sat in front of the mirrror and just pulled with all her might, much to her surprise it popped out! Then she had to make a flury of calls to everyone she could think of. The best call was to Ben and Wendy where she found out Jared her cousin had lost his tooth that same night. She thought that was really amazing. Camden was by her side all the way wanting to see and hold the tooth. He even wanted to sleep with her in hopes to see the fairy....

Graduation

Where has all the time gone? It seems like just yesterday I was holding this little guy in my arms. Here he is at preschool graduation. He had a great school year thanks to Miss Chris and all her hard work. The class was almost all boys, so as you can imagine they had alot of fun.

This will be Kiara's second year doing dance. She loves it. This was here end of the year performance, and she did such a great job. It is fun to watch all the little kids dance.

Ssge is one of Kiara's good friends. They have so much fun together and are like two peas in a pod.

Gina is Kiara's amazing teacher. You should see how much energy she has. She is so cute with the girls and just loves teaching them.

Chris and I went to vegas to see BYU play in the Mountain West Conference Tournament. We had fun, it's always nice to get a away. BYU lost in the end against Las Vegas but the games were awesome.

Good Things Utah Debut

As most of you know me and the kids were invited to model on Good Things Utah for an Easter show. It went well I wasn't sure what to expect with a 6 year old 4 year old and 15 month old you never know. They did so good. Camden did secretly hide his shoes back at home b/c he wanted to wear his new skater shoes, so I had to have someone run them up to me (and he thought he could be sneaky,thanks Adam for the speedy driving) needless to say we got the shoes just in time and then had to bribe Cam to smile and wear them. (the bribe was a Daddy Son Date to the Jazz game. I think that was a great idea! and it worked!) Well we made it on the show and it was lot's of fun. GRANDPA BURNHAM

As soon as grandpa gets to the house the kids all climb up on him and beg him to tell stories. This last trip he had them convinced he works for Santa, they were all making lists and gathering toys for him to show Santa how to make. They love grandpa so much. Kiara always goes with grandma to pick grandpa up at the airport. The last trip she just sobbed having to say goodbye. Grandma's House is the BEST!!!! not only do the kids say this but so do I. We went to Mom's house today and while Alexa napped Mom and the kids wathched a movie and I Blogged among other things. Then Alexa woke up and wanted in on the fun only to break it all up (let's just say she likes grandma all to herself). I better not make a habit of coming to grandma's to post blogs. (she might not be so welcoming) We had lots of fun with grandma as usual. We all love grandma's, I get to be the daughter and Mom gets to be the Mom, how lucky am I. (see what you guys are missing. Holly, Heidi, Wendy, Rafe/Maria.) Well I just want Mom to know how much I love her and how thankful I am to have her here in Utah. ILOVE YOU MOM!! and I think it is safe to say so do the grandkids!

I have finally joined the world of blogging. After much talk of doing this, I am now getting it done. I am so excited to be in touch with everyone through the site. My little sister Heidi has been my inspiration. I love to get on her site and see her adorable family and Wendy's b/c they are usually posted there too. I miss them so much, and her blog makes me feel a little closer. I love you guys!
